Yamato reveals the shame of his past, and assures Mei that he is a changed man. Although one might think Mei is too forgiving, it was something that happened in the past. The sacrifices he made for Mei in this scene alone proved how much he loved her, and that the relationship was for real.

I know I usually start the titles with a quote but, hey. Sometimes they work and sometimes not. Anyways, on to the scene. Misaki is at the forefront of probably the most emotionally-moving and powerful scenes in the entire anime. It really hits home. Surely this will be remembered for a long time to come.

So for the meantime, the video hosting services for upcoming episodes will come to a close. I am going to revert back to the classic blogging style, hopefully fitting a more precise niche. The reason for this? Many other sites do a better job. So there will be some transitions occurring over the next few weeks. I will strive to return to the original purpose of this site, revisiting those great moments in select anime titles.
Where to watch the latest Anime Episodes?
I recommend AnimeHere for the latest anime episodes. They are quite consistent when it comes to updates, very timely, and their site has a nice sleek design that is easy to navigate. There are some pop-up ads, that occur at times, but otherwise I have not had a problem.
The other option that I suggest is Crunchyroll. The downsides to this are that you cannot watch the latest episodes unless you are a paying member. Specifically, the episodes are delayed for a week before you can see them. However, they have a nice mobile app (available on Android and iOS I presume) that works great for mobile viewing.
Other News
We recently celebrated our one year anniversary (March 20, 2013). In this time frame we have had over 9000 views (internet meme I know), 9200+ to be exact. Sadly I don't have much to show for it, as my updates have been on the decline. However, I wanted to thank everyone who has been a consistent visitor, or who has just dropped by occasionally. I realize this site has had its ups and downs, but I think by becoming reoriented with my original goal, I will be able to offer more timely updates for everyone.
Site Design Changes/Upcoming Updates
As mentioned, the latest episodes "feature" of this site will cease to exist. However, each series will probably re-direct to AnimeHere, once I have finished the transition. There may be some layout/design changes as well. For now, just be patient, I will update this site in a "blog fashion" as I originally intended.
Additionally, I am tweaking the mobile template slightly, as I realized the site doesn't adjust too well on phones and tablets. I may decide to use the standard mobile blogger template for now and design a custom one in the future. We shall see.

Yamato to Megumi: "I'm not interested in girls who only care about looks."
You have to admit that it is extremely rare and unheard of when a woman does approach a guy they doesn't know, and when they do more likely then not its for selfish reasons. In this case, Megumi did just that. She was attracted to Yamato's looks and nothing more. I felt quite a sense of relief when Yamato did turn her down.
Sukitte Iinayo General Spoilers:
I admire Yamato a lot as a character. It takes a certain mindset and wisdom to look at women the way he does. He doesn't judge them by their looks alone, or by face value. He digs deeper to find out who they truly are, their personalities and how beautiful they are on the inside. Really, this is the mentality anyone should have if they are trying to find their soul mate and life partner. Physical appearance on the outside is just a bonus. I certainly would go for someone with a personality that is a keeper, similar to the route Yamato has chosen.
Love is intricate and works in mysterious ways. One thing for certain however: judging a book by its cover is setting yourself up for disappointment, as well as missed opportunities.

Even for those who are unfamiliar with anime and the plot of this series in general, you have to agree that this is a powerful, emotionally moving scene. Faced with a tough decision, Junichi decides to man-up and do what he feels is right. He considered how much Haruka meant to him, and the sacrifices he had to make in order to continue being by her side.
Slight Spoilers Ahead:
This scene was quite memorable for me so much that I just had to share it. It was among my first anime moments that stuck out in my mind, a year even after its conclusion.
If you think about it, proposing to someone, let alone asking a love interest out, is never an easy task. That fear of rejection is omnipresent, often preventing action from being taken at all. Junichi went out of his way proposing to Haruka in front of the entire school. Something I certainly could not muster up the courage to do. Though considering Junichi's position, he might have had a little adrenaline behind him, as it was a make it or break it kind of moment, for all the marbles. Love is powerful and it does drive us to do crazy things that is for sure.
Overall, this was my fondest moment from Amagami SS and Plus. I am sure there are many awe-inspiring moments within the series that I have yet to highlight.

"Y-You mean in a friend kind of way?" (Shizuka)
This scene which occurs very on in Episode 1, sort of sets the foundation for future interactions between the two. You can expect some heartfelt moments with a nice dosage of hilarity thrown in. The first defining moment when Haru realizes his feelings for Shizuka and sets a firm goal in mind (returning back to school).

Proud to present our series of short clips highlighting memorable and inspirational scenes from our select anime. This features Wakana Sakai from Tari Tari as she learns the ins and outs of music composition. Really brings me back to the series, it is a shame that it ended some weeks ago. It did end on a high note though, so that was definitely a plus.

It's been a while since we have showcased our latest titles, and we sure have a lot for you.First on our list is Amnesia, a stunning new title about a young woman who has seemingly lost all of her memories. Right from the start you get the general sense that things are going to be "epic", just from the opening song (which is stellar I must add). Our heroine wakes up with no recollection of who she is, or how she fell into such a state. One interesting tidbit is that she doesn't have a name--literally. Not even her acquaintances address her in such a manner. This may be one mystery that the show will keep under wraps until later. If Funimation were to ever pick up this title, surely Carrie Savage would fit the bill of the main heroine. If anyone happened to watch Shuffle, and especially Rumbling Hearts (Funimation Dub), you would know exactly what I am talking about. The heroine in Amnesia immediately reminded me of Carrie's performance as Haruka in Rumbling Hearts, right down to mannerisms, appearance and voice tone. That aside, the JP-voice actress for this character is amazing simply put, and helps add to the overall suspense and pacing of the series.

Kodaka, the male protagonist, is branded a delinquent by the majority of the school, based on bad first impressions, his hair color and other factors. He finds himself in a new school and without friends, that is until he meets Yozora. Yozora is seemingly in the same dilemma as Kodaka himself, and she often talks to an imaginary friend for company. The two found "The Neighbor's Club" with the goal of making friends. Hilarity ensues when members join the club and Kodaka finds himself surrounded by women. The irony is that Kodaka is living every man's dream (probably) despite still labeling himself "friendless" after the club's initial founding. Of course, that is just Japan and their fanservice for you (which I admit, you do have to keep an audience entertained after all). In Next, the story continues with the everyday adventures of the Neighbors Club. Will Kodaka find a true friend? Will another male join the club? Will Yozora's hair grow out again (oh how I detest her hair currently!) Tune in to find out.

Naoe Riki, the protagonist of the series, leads things along, quick to jump in to remedy the troubles of his friends. Initially, the gang of five have aspirations to start a baseball team, and they slowly but surely recruit members to the team. Here and there, Naoe goes out of his way to help those in need, seemingly with character arcs devoted to each member. Do the Little Busters team play an actual baseball game? Maybe this question will be answered in the later episodes.
Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo, a title with an interesting premise. It has a lot of admirable themes such as coming of age, finding one's place in life, friendship and romance.

Lastly, we have Chihayafuru 2, an anime that proves that card games can get physical. Not exactly card games on motorcycles, but it comes close (I just had to use that reference).

The introduction of Sumire Hanano brings some interesting plot development to the table as a new character. Her motives bring her to join the karuta team for somewhat selfish reasons, but she eventually garners genuine interest for the game. Along with fellow newcomer and oddball, Akihiro Tsukuba, they join Chihaya, Taichi and team on their road to the karuta championship.
Karuta is one of those interesting card games that I haven't gotten the chance to fully grasp just from watching the second season. Unfortunately, it is not as "exciting" as watching a card game battle from Yu-gi-oh (atleast the first season). However, Chihayafuru 2 brings a lot to the table that makes it much more than an anime about simply playing card games. It introduces a lot of realistic elements and struggles one might face in a similar situation or competitive environment. I will personally go back to watch the first season of Chihayafuru (will be posted here soon), and I recommend the same, as the rules of karuta are quite complex. Nonetheless, despite the initial barriers, this series is one you should keep on your radar.

As far as my personal favorites I would say Kuroi Namida and Winter Sleep, respectively. Your tastes may very when it comes to "Engrish" (music incorporating japanese and english lyrics) tracks but this was an awesome listen for me. It's been on repeat for quite a while.

Our new site layout was officially launched today. Keep in mind that things are still in beta status, so there are bound to be a few bugs are errors along the way. Things are gradually coming up to speed, so bare with us!
In the meantime, we have two new series to offer you, Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun and Sukitte Iinayo. These two shojou series are the top of their prime, and both tell their story well. For a more realistic approach (true to real life) I would recommend Sukitte Iinayo. Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun is more on the comical side, but all the same, it is a stellar anime and one of the standouts from the shojou genre. Two different viewpoints on teenage romance from a woman's perspective. Being a male, these were an excellent watch for me. However, even if you don't like shojou, I would say just bite the bullet and give these shows a try anyway.
